New School Year

I will only have periodic postings because this course is taught during the spring semester.  If you are a photo student you may find some of the past works by students helpful to inspire you.  Best advice - keep taking photos.

2. Play with Eye Contact (PWEC)

3. Looking Off Camera (LOC)

4. Obscure the Figure (OTF)

5. Introduce a Prop (IAP)

Toy Photography

Clever Toy Photographers

Toy photography provides great opportunities for clever composition, creative lighting and a chance to really have some fun. When done right a photographer can breath life and personality into the inanimate objects being shot. I think these examples really reflect this.

For the Animal Photographers

Photographer Isa Leshko is traveling to sanctuaries across the country to photograph animals that are elderly or at the end stage of their lives. “I began the series as a means of exploring my feelings about my mother’s decline due to Alzheimer’s Disease,” she says. “As I’ve worked on this project, though, I’ve come to realize that these images are a testament to survival and endurance. And they raise questions about what it means to be elderly.”

Please make sure you are saving your images on a flash drive/ outside hard drive as the original format.
*** Keep the folders separate from one another.  When we begin manipulating the files you will need more storage space for works in progress- not flattened PSD files.
